Zapiekanka with pulled pork


  • 2 baguettes
  • 6 red peppers
  • 20 g cheese
  • 1 jar pickled cucumbers
  • Pulled pork:
  • 800-700 g pork shoulder
  • 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp hot paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • olive oil


Pulled pork:

Pour all spices and garlic into the bowl. Mix everything with a little oil.

Then coat the marinated meat and leave it covered for min. 1h in the fridge.

Transfer the pork to an ovenproof dish and bake in an oven preheated to 160°C for 2 hours, then increase the temperature to 180-190°C and bake for another 40 minutes.

Cool the roasted meat and tear it into pieces with a fork.


Cut the peppers in half, cut out the seed nests and place on a baking tray. Pour a little olive oil. Put in the preheated oven to 200°C and bake for 20 minutes until the crust is dark. Cool.

Peel the chilled peppers and cut into strips.

Cut the pickled cucumbers into slices.

Grate cheese on a large grater.

Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise and spread with butter.

For casseroles, you can prepare a BBQ sauce from the recipe

Put the pulled pork on the baguettes, BBQ sauce, then peppers, cucumbers and sprinkle with cheese.

Place the zapiekanki in the oven at 180°C and bake until the cheese is melted.
